Band of Buskers is an online journalism project by a group of students from the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information.

 

This project was inspired by a curiosity for these buskers. How they are able to put aside the stress and nerves of putting themselves under public scrutiny all to put up a performance. We have seen them around, but hardly do we ever stop and appreciate their craft.

 

With that, we hope to provide these buskers with a platform where they can share their stories, their dreams, and more importantly, their voices — in a place where they are otherwise ignored or sidelined. We want to celebrate these people, alongside their fiery passions and blazing ambitions.
